Note: Obituary: Mrs. Vivian Butz of Stroudsburg

Stroudsburg - Mrs. Vivian A. Butz, 54, of 850 White St., Stroudsburg, died Tuesday at 6:50 a.m. in the General Hospital of Monroe County after an illness of seven months.

Born in Reeders, she was a daughter of the late Jonas and Ida Becker Doll. She had been a resident of Monroe County most of her life.
Mrs. Butz was a member of the Arlington Heights Methodist Church and the WSCS. She served as a Sunday School teacher for 12 years.

She is survived by her husband, Clyde H. Butz, at home; two sons, Sherdon C. of Stroudsburg and Harold L. at home; one grandson, four sisters, Mrs. Clyde Martin of Tannersville; Mrs. John Teafe, of Stroudsburg; Mrs. George Mease of Quakertown and Mrs. Harry Oliver of Philadelphia.

Also five brothers, Raymond Doll of East Stroudsburg, Irvin Doll of Philadelphia, Edward Doll of Reeders, Lloyd Doll of East Stroudsburg, and Harold Doll of Reeders.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the William H. Clark Funeral Home in Stroudsburg with the Rev. Thomas Cenkner officiating.

Burial will be in Laurelwood Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Clyde H. Butz, 81, of 850 White St., Stroudsburg, Died Saturday at home. The husband of the late Vivian A. (Doll) Butz, he was employed at Patterson-Kelly before retiring in 1972 after 20 years.

Born in Appenzell, he was a son of the late Steward and Nettie (Felker) Butz. He had lived in Monroe County all his life.

He was a member of St. Mark's Community Luthern Church, Appenzell.

He is survived by two sons, Sherdon C. Butz and Harold L. Butz, both of Stroudsburg; two sisters, Margaret Williams of Parsippany, N.J. and Hazel Custard.
